Your support is very much appreciated…
Hi, my name is Mike Santoro. I am 43 years old, am married and am the proud father of an 8 year old daughter. I also suffer from a severe and persistent mental illness.
My dream is to talk in front of large audiences about my personal coping skills that I have put together in the past 25 years. These skills have kept me out of hospitals and have given me the opportunities that are in front of me today
In 2007, I decided to make an educational DVD called “THE 80/20 PROJECT”, which presented more explicitly my personal vision on what I do to stay well even though I live with a mental illness. Furthermore, this film has since won “Honorable Mentions” at 2 film festivals and has become the driving force behind my new vision on how I want to live my life in the future.
Your support is vital for the continuation of this project. You can encourage me by purchasing “THE 80/20 PROJECT DVD” and by visiting our web site at www.MikesStory.com where you will find a treasure full of information on mental illness.
Thank you for your support!

Musings on The 80/20 Project DVD…

When Mike spoke to me of his DVD, I had no idea of the scope of his project or how professionally he presented it. I knew Mike in secondary 3 as a student but I am now amazed at how his potential has evolved.
The 80/20 Project sets out to inform the public about mental illness. It accomplishes this end so very effectively through the eyes of Mike Santoro. Only a person living through the experience could depict the triumphs and rejections, the hopes and failures that mental illness brings.
Throughout the DVD, a positive thread runs through and hope springs eternal! Acceptance and patience permeate the narrative. Surely with new medical discoveries, dedicated professionals and understanding and supportive friends and family, as well as with God’s help the immediate future looks brighter.
